Golf Swing

Anyone use youtube for golf swing help?

i play softball and it kind of messes up my golf swing, but at the same time, i golf better if i don't practice, than if i practice.

i been practicing more lately, but my swing is worse than before. ugh...

if anyone knows of anything online to help my slice, it would be appreciated. i hit about 140-150 with my 8 iron but with no practice, i'd hit 160ish, but my buddy hits 200+ with his 8 iron. wtf. i need to catch up! any help appreciated!!!

No practice = 270-290 yard drives
lots of practice = 240-250 yard drives

im frickin going downhill......................my slice is getting worse... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Practice is restricting your swing and adjustment takes time to ingrain into your natural swing.

Seems like your hips are twisting and arms are catching up. If you try to hit it further, slow down your swing, make sure your arms are soft. Hitting the sweet spot will result in better controlled distance rather than trying to muscle a swing that results off hit and hips sliding before the impact. Swinging should be natural not mental.

Here's how I would improve your game. Pick up the club, hold both ends with one hand each so the your arms are extended across the length of the club. Lift the club over your head and the break it across your knee like a cheap piece of plywood. Now go find yourself a real sport. Preferably one that doesn't throw away acres of valuable woodland land (that I could use to ride my mountain bike all over) so some rich fckers can ride around in their little go-carts and spend the day hacking at a little white ball thinking they are actually exercising. (sorry no offense norboo

that's because you're swinging your club like a baseball bat. you're thrusting your hips too much which is causing you to have an open face.

btw...i doubt your friend is hitting his 8 iron 200+ yards. unless he is a pro and knows how to deloft his irons in a way that he can add distant without losing ball flight, he will probably hit about 160ish even with a fast swing speed.

the guy was the junior champion of a small south american country (south american korean). he's just average height and size too!!! but such a nice perfect swing that bastard has!!!!!!!!

the weirdest thing is all this golf practice made my golf swing worse, but im seriously smacking the softball with the highest slugging and average percentages i ever had... go figure...

Generally speaking, long hitters are the easiest to throw off their game and again, generally doesn¡¯t have the short game. One of my golf buddy can crank his 5 iron longer than my driver but when its miller time, it never taste sweeter when he has to pull out his wallet.

It's interesting how coporates fooled people to spend billions of dollars each year to hit a small ball around in the grass.

Excessive yardage of certain club is not too important for most of people.
As long as you have a consistant accurate magnitude and direction from it, you are good.

Fitting a club that suits you is another factor.
video yourself swing the club in most of angle and see what you are doing right/wrong.

Slicing can be happening due to tons of factors. Most of amature golf players will say, you are gapping your left arm. That is a beginner's advice. People who started golf can use that advice.

It can be due to your stance (open/close). how you grip your club. Even too much arm+shoulder may cause it.

Goto D1ck's or Golf galaxy. There are golf associates who will help you with that for free. I did that part time for many years.
They can also analyze entire package at no cost on a virtual golf software.
I recommand 400series D1ck's Sporting Good store for that.

Great advice. Adam Scott had a similar advice for people who wanted to increase their dist.

tape your swing and post it up. I'll critique it for you. I suck at golf, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express once like 8 years ago.
