the funny thing is she claims it was a whole 2 hrs before the restaurant started seating people in different sections of the restaurant. Why didn't she take a picture then? Their dining room should have been filled with 50 asians if her claims were true. Obviously it wasn't.

The fact is at the beginning, Asians were segregated from whites. The Asians may be the most affluent demographic but according to some posters ‘Asians don’t tip well and only show up during the restaurant weeks’. This statement shows subtle racism.

I was at home depot the other day and this black girl was the cashier. She went ahead and scanned everything and then told me the total and just stood there. I pulled out my money to pay her and she didn't do anything. I said excuse me, she ignored me. I said excuse me again and at that moment she glared at me and said the computer froze in a condescending tone. I told her, well it would be nice if you told me that, I'm not a mind reader. She then snatched the money from my hands and threw the change on the counter. I told her to lose the attitude and spoke to her supervisor. The point is this, I could have easily come to the conclusion that Home Depot was a racist establishment if I only had gone there once in my whole entire life. But it was one incident with one stupid employee.

no they were seated and they ordered food and they ate the food and they stayed in the restaurant for 2 hrs and she even said it was one of her more enjoyable restaurant experiences. Read her blog about this whole incident it's full of contradictions. She claims she knows everyone is a bit racist, that comment alone should be enough to take her words with a grain of salt.

i got that straight off the waiter my sis used to work at...which is one of the top restaurants in NYC. The waiter told her something like, boy, we rarely have any asian customers except during the restaurant week...complained that they dont really tip well or order wine and wants to have doggy bags, blahh...I thought it was very low class for him to say that to my sis who is asian.

It would be interesting to have the factual data. I tip usually 18 to 20%. If I carry out 5 to 10%. Most K Am friends that I have tip well.
